BEGINNING OF TRUE LOVE
lOng-Distance Journey
From that chance encounter in the Hamptons, we knew we had something special. Though we spent several years long distance, with one of us in Washington, DC, and the other in New York City, we kept our relationship strong with plenty of planes, trains, and automobiles, making homes in both cities.
Frank took 9 months of Jewish studies at Central Synagogue in NYC and continues to learn. I have a 1500+ day Dutch learning streak on Duolingo!

how we met
We met in 2020, at the height of the pandemic, at a beach club in the Hamptons, New York, where we were both celebrating our birthdays—just one day apart! From that chance encounter, we knew we had something special. During our time apart, FaceTime, memes, letters, and book exchanges became our lifeline.
Cultural Connections
We embraced each other's worlds—one filled with Dutch culture, the other rooted in Jewish and American traditions. We spent a lot of time in the Netherlands. I began learning Dutch, and Frank immersed himself in Judaism, culminating in a transformative trip to Israel.
New adventurEs in Switzerland
After living together in Washington, DC, we've embarked on our next adventure in Switzerland. We share our new home in Zurich with our mini sheepadoodle, BaoBao. Each of you has played a meaningful role in our story, and we cannot wait to celebrate this amazing journey with you in Tuscany this summer!
